If I was to leave on the 31st, pack up everything while taking care of my Riley, precious Poodle love, I did not have time to make a list!
I had 10 days!
Jesus really took care of me and every detail, including Riley. She was such an angel girl, sitting in the car like a princess. We went to McDonalds a lot during those days, nothing to cook with.
There were still things to do, more details.
While Jim was still with me in Kona, Big Island ~
Just after Jim found out he got the job, he made a few phone calls. There was a government program that paid residents living in a foreclosed home. The day I was leaving, to fly to O'ahu, the bank realtor would come over, make an inspection and hand me a check. Sounded good to me.
It was a program that helped out people being forced out of their rental home . Jim found out all the rules. Since we did everything correctly and in the time frame of the program rules, we were going to receive the maximum amount that could be given. BLESSING!
When we found out my moving day... we let the bank realtor know the details. I had an appointment with her the morning I was leaving.
Here are the things that happened on my last day in Kona, along with my poodle Riley...
I woke up early...
1. I got myself ready and packed up all the bathroom and kitchen items, just a few left to pack.
2. Several days earlier, I had arranged for the friends who helped me on U-Haul and Car Ship Day, to come over for some really nice free stuff. Also, I gave them some $$ for blessing me so much. They came right on time... thankfully.
3. Riley and I loaded the car with the trash and a Sewing Machine.
4. We went to get coffee and some treats.
5. Went to a trash dumpster behind a grocery store.
6. Went to UPS, and paid to have them box up and ship my Singer Sewing Machine to my new address:)
7. Then...
to the Post Office...wait for it...
PO Box last visit...
Question: were the monies going to be there? I had faith...
As I took my key and opened the Box for the last time, I saw two envelopes. I took a close look at both of them.
They were both there! OH AMEN! oh snap! oh oh oh!!!
YES! I called Jim... and YES! I praised Jesus! YES!
8. I needed to quickly get back to the house, because the realtor was going to be there, I made it on time! She did her inspection, commented on how clean it was, and handed me a check! LORD, I AM BEYOND BLESSED!
9. I pulled the two boxes, my suitcase, Riley’s Pet Cargo Box and Riley outside the front door, locked it and handed the key to the realtor. She was on her way.
10. I sat down on the carport brick divider, and took in a big sigh of relief. Wow! and the day is just getting started. I'm hungry. I held Riley in my arms.
Since the bank had been so gracious with us for two and a half years, I had to say goodbye and THANK YOU! There were no holds on any checks and no questions, just smiles and goodbyes. We still do business with that bank, just from afar. Best bank ever.
"All things are possible with Jesus“
When people say Impossible!
Jesus says "Im.possible“ oh Amen.
Hmmm... I wonder... how many details DID it take to have all three checks, two in the PO Box and one put in my hand on the morning of March 31st 2011. Still amazes me. Only Jesus knows.
Off to the Airport, but first, I’m hungry! not much for breakfast which was long ago, so we made a fast stop. At airport drop-off I gave Linda a big hug, along with some thank you money. She was a huge blessing, and a very special friend.
Linda was one of my very dear friends that had been told false stories by the woman upstairs. God gave me vindication that day, and my true friends did not believe what had been spread.
Time to fly Riley... we are moving to O‘ahu ~ yay!
Kailua, Hawai’i 96734
here we come!
The flight was short and sweet. Thank you Hawai'ian Airlines.
