Chapter One ~ 'my three wishes'

#1 wish ~ 

At age 13 I started to pray for my future husband.  Details mattered.  God gave me my person when the time was just right.  I was 25 and really ready and open to love, the kind of love that comes from God.  The night we first met was at my BFF's house where she hosted a Singles Bible and Fun group.  I ended up sitting next to him on the couch.  It was time to pray and we all held hands.  It took just a few seconds and suddenly I felt electricity that shot through my hand and up my arm!   Different right?  I know.  I went home and was feeling the Holy Spirit stirring  something in my heart.  Suddenly, I heard very clearly "you are going to marry that man".  I had been pacing with my Bible held close to my heart, I stopped.  What?  My very first response was "I don't even know what color his eyes are".  So many things to learn.  I believed what God said that night and it happened, six months later we were married!   His eyes are blue:)

#2 wish ~

Around the age of 20, I started wanting to go to Hawai'i.  My friend had gone and really enjoyed it, that's how it started.   I found a Hawai'i Key Tag that I used every day until it wore out.  As the years went by, I decided that before I turned 50 I would go! It was a good goal.  Thinking back I don't even know why it was so important, but I continued to pray about it.   I really was hoping for sooner than that, but again the Lord has His own timing for us.

 it's God's timing that is perfect, not ours.

#3 wish ~ 

In my walk with Jesus, I had the increasing desire to get closer to Him, to feel the Holy Spirit in a very special way.  I wanted to pray for the sick, so they could be healed.  Whatever He wanted me to do, I was open.  I took healing classes, went to seminars, prayed a lot about that part of my life.  I also knew for sure that I wanted to see Jesus and angels... I don't remember exactly when I started to have the desire to see... well, let me explain.

To see... for me that meant I could see angels.  My prayers would be "I just want to see an angel Lord, I know that is possible".  For over 25 years I prayed and desired for Jesus to show me His glory.  

I would ask Jesus "Why can’t I see? Am I not good enough?“   I think my desire was in a good place, I just did not grasp the full potential of who Jesus is and what He wanted to show me, not just yet. 

"All things work together for good to them that love the Lord and are called according to His purposes“.   Romans 8:28 

I’ve put a lot of thought into the word ALL!   All is everything,  not just most stuff or some things, all is every thing in life. All is complete. All is a lot of details! So when "all“ works together into good, we have to keep that thought in our hearts and minds as tough times come our way. Those tough times definitely do come our way, but God!  Jesus does everything with great intent.  He does everything on purpose.  He knows just the exact moment you need to hear some good news, or get that answer to your prayers.  Heaven delights in giving you gifts of all kinds.  Everything that happens to you starts in Heaven and then comes down directly to you. 

So! Please do not give up!  If you do give up, it won't happen or it will be delayed.  Ugh!

Yes, God can do anything He wants! and that's good.

The other part is "work together“.  Jesus wants us to know that we can feel secure in Him. He cares for us and He watches over us.  It is with the greatest of intent and love. No matter who has told you that God doesn’t really care about all your details, they are WRONG!

Jesus works on our behalf!

When we are at the end of our rope and we have done everything we can think of to make things right... desperate... reaching for God as far as we can, HE SHOWS UP and it is clear He did it.

This is the place, your heart and soul, where His purposes can happen.  We are all a work in progress:)
