The Book of Revelation

I have thought about reading the book of Revelation throughout the past months.  Since God's timing is everything it must be the right time:)

So today, I made the decision and yes, I have just read the book of Revelation which took just a few hours.

Here are some interesting thoughts:

#11 ~ a number Jesus gave to us in Kona, actually to Jim in 2009. This number has stuck with us to this day and is an inspiration to us, for none other than a 'heavenly reason'... we just have accepted it and are going with the flow of 11. It's origin being all about the time... 9:11 AM and PM.

My thought to pull out and highlight the 11th verse of each chapter has been inspired by my Jesus, for reasons I do not know.  I was born at 11:11am... even though I should not have been born due to my mothers health.  The doctor told her she would die if she went through the pregnancy and I was born.  She did not die, God gave her 16 years to raise me.

So here goes ~

REVELATION 1:11 ~ saying, "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last," and, "What you see, write in a book and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia: to Ephesus, to Smyrna, to Pergamos, to Thyatira, to Sardis, to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea."

(Revelation of Christ 9 - 20)

2:11 ~ "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death."

(Message to Smyrna 8 - 11)

3:11 ~ "Behold I come quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.

(Message to Philadelphia 7 - 13)

4:11 ~ "You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created."

(The Throne of God 1 - 11)

5:11 ~ Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the    

throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands,

saying with a loud voice: "Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing!"

(The Sealed Book 1 - 14)

6:11 ~ And a white robe was given to each of them; and it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer, until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed.

(martyrs) (Fifth Seal 9 - 11)

7:11 ~ And all the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God saying: "Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom, thanksgiving and honor and power and might, be to our God forever and ever. Amen."

(Great multitude of Gentiles 9 - 17)

8:11 ~ and the name of the star is Wormwood; and a third of the waters became wormwood; and many men died from the water, because it was made bitter.

(Third Trumpet 10 – 11)

9:11 ~ And they had as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon (destruction), but in Greek he has the name Apollyon (Destroyer).

10:11 ~ And he said to me, "you must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, tongues, and kings."

11:11 ~ Now after the three and a half days the breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell on those who saw them.

12:11 ~ And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the work of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.

13:11 ~ Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon.

14:11 ~ "And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name."

(The Three Angels Announcements 6 – 13)

15: (Preparation for the Bowl Judgments 1 – 8)

16:11 ~ And they blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds.

(Fifth Bowl 10 – 11)

17:11 ~ "And the beast that was, and is not, is himself also the eighth, and is of the seven (bowls), and is going to perdition.

(Great Harlot is Destroyed 7 – 18)

18:11 ~ "And the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one buys their merchandise anymore:

(Earth mourns Babylon's destruction 9 – 19)

19:11 ~ Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.

(Second Coming of Christ 11 – 21)

20:11 ~ Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them.

(Great White Throne Judgment 11 – 15)

21:11 ~ ...having the glory of God. And her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal.

(New Jerusalem is Described 9 – 27)

22:11 ~ "He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still."

(Conclusion 6 – 21)

I enjoyed this journey through Revelation.  It is such a fascinating book.  My prayer:

"Use this my Lord Jesus to your glory and reveal to me the wonders of your Word.  May my life be glorifying to you even in the small things I do. Thank you for revealing yourself to me in the greatest way possible that I could ever think of.  Please take me away again in the Spirit of your love and show me more of your enveloping love and grace. I love you so much and I am so unworthy. I live on the great rock of who you are and have nothing else that matters in my life."
